Working with Capitmax as a SOC or vCISO partner
This page explains exactly how our partner process works, from your application to your first client assignment, so you know what to expect before you apply.
Who we partner with
We work with two kinds of firms. Some partners do one, some do both. You tell us which in your application.
SOC / MDR partners
Security operations teams that monitor and respond on behalf of our clients. What we expect:
- Continuous monitoring and alert triage for assigned clients
- Documented escalation path back to Capitmax
- U.S.-based staff handling client data
- Current certifications for the analysts on the account
vCISO partners
Fractional security leaders who guide our clients' programs. What we expect:
- Security assessments and written roadmaps
- Policy and compliance guidance for the client
- Availability for client-facing meetings
- Clear handoff notes when an engagement ends
The process, step by step
Five steps from application to a completed engagement.
1. Apply through the partner portal
Create an account at capitmax.com/partner and tell us about your company: the certifications your staff hold, the services you offer, your insurance, and whether the people handling client data are based in the U.S. You can upload supporting documents such as certificates and insurance proof.
2. We review your application
We read every application by hand. We look at your qualifications, your coverage, and whether your services fit the clients we serve. If we have questions, we reach out directly. You can check your status in the portal at any time.
3. Approval and client assignment
Once approved, we assign you the specific clients you will work with. Your portal shows only those clients: their contacts, their open deals, and any handoff notes from our team. You never see accounts that are not yours.
4. Deliver the work
For SOC partners that means monitoring, triage, and escalation under the scope we agree on. For vCISO partners that means assessments, roadmaps, policy work, and client-facing guidance. Each assignment includes a role note so you know exactly what is expected.
5. Request to close
When your part of an engagement is done, use the Request to close button on the deal in your portal. We review it, reply in the portal, and move the deal ourselves. Nothing closes without our sign-off, so the client record stays accurate.
What to have ready
The application takes about ten minutes if you have these on hand.
Certification and insurance documents ready to upload (PDF, up to 10 MB each)
A short description of your services and the size of your team
Confirmation that staff handling client data are U.S.-based
A direct contact we can reach during review
What you see once approved
Your portal dashboard shows your assigned clients, their open deals and their value, handoff notes from our team, and your close requests. You can upload and manage your credential documents, and withdraw a close request while it is still pending.
You only ever see the clients assigned to you. Everything else in our system stays invisible to partner accounts.
